A New 4-Day Cultural Road Trip

Kansas City & Eureka Springs

October 9-12, 2025

Air travel is causing some jitters, so we’re staying on land for this tour, but it’s by no means your ordinary road trip.

That means, for starters, extraordinary accommodations.  We’ll be staying at the meticulously curated Truitt Boutique Hotel in Kansas City – my  favorite domestic hotel.  In Eureka Springs, we’ll be staying at Inns that capture the spirit of the town and have luxurious appointments.

World-class art and culture are also on the docket.  If you haven’t been to Crystal Bridges Museum of Modern Art, you’re in for an experience that not only encompasses its art collection, but magnificent grounds that feature a Frank Lloyd Wright residence!  Combine that with tours of the Kemper or Nelson Atkins Art Museums in Kansas City, the brand new $70M Opera House in Eureka Springs, and the Thorncrown Chapel.  And a trip to Eureka Springs wouldn’t be complete without a private tour of the magnificent Crescent Hotel – where Eureka Springs got its start and is “the ‘most haunted hotel in North America.” By the end of the trip, you’ll see why Eureka Springs has one of the highest per capita LGBT populations in the U.S.
